Overview

Company operations that have been carried out routinely and follow applicable procedures, need to be evaluated to measure their effectiveness. The things that are measured include the extent to which procedures are applied to the standards referred to, especially in an effort to improve the management system.

Activities that can be carried out in measuring the effectiveness of implementing procedures or management system standards are audit activities. Audit activities are divided into 2 (two) types, Internal Audit and External Audit. Internal Audit is carried out by the organization/company involving trained personnel. Meanwhile, the External Audit is carried out by a third party who has a license to carry out the audit.

As an important step in conducting audit activities, training is needed for audit executives. This training is to prepare personnel to conduct audits properly and the expected results are in accordance with the objectives. This audit program refers to ISO 19011:2018 regarding Management System Audit Implementation Guidelines.

Audit activities are a form of commitment from management to all personnel in continuously improving the management system. After the audit program is formed by compiling an audit schedule, the next step is to communicate it to all personnel in the organization.

All audit activities are kept as documented information.

Course Objectives

After attending the course, participants are expected to be able to:

  • Improve the management system and its implementation in the company’s operational activities;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of the management system to make it more effective in its implementation. 
  • Carry out internal quality audits in a professional, independent, and objective manner;
  • Identify the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the management system related to the company’s operations;
  • Identify the scope of improvement and develop the management system on an ongoing basis.
